what workout should I do besides Pilates ?

I frequently get asked what kind of exercise best compliments Pilates , the answer is so simple , it is whatever other exercise you love to do. The best exercise is what you will do consistently.  I am a big proponent of not doing workouts you don’t enjoy. Cardio is cardio whether you are walking , running, dancing , stair climbing but if you dread it you will stop doing it. We do need to move though, or our bodies will not be healthy, so find something you find fun.

My personal favorites are Pilates , walking and indoor cycling. I like to mix things up though sometimes I’m just not feeling it so I will go on Youtube and find a workout there that I have never tried. I’ll find a class in town that is different from anything I’ve ever tried ( aerial silks anyone ? ) just keep moving and your body and brain will be so happy.
